Requirements:

DIMENSIONS OF THE JOB
Egina is a deep offshore development located in block OML130 in Nigeria operated by TOTAL Upstream Nigeria Limited. The development is located 150 km from the coast in 1550 m water depth and includes a spread moored FPSO of 240 POB, associated offloading calm buoy, 2 productions loops connecting six subsea manifold with 21 production wells and 3 injection lines connecting 23 water injection wells. A 20km gas export line ties in to the Akpo export pipeline to Amenam.

Activities
Pre-Operational Phase:
To prepare the set up of the laboratory , namely:
The layout and arrangement of the laboratory including the fluid supplies (power, air, water, drains, HVAC)
The equipment of the laboratory, lab analysers, glassware, IT, ancillary and spare parts
The lab chemicals and consumables

The storage areas (lab chemicals, spare parts, samples)

The sampling equipment (pressure bottles, sealed bottles, sampling points, connectors)
The procedures (analyses standards, sampling, wastes)

The organisation (inside and outside the laboratory, records, reporting).
This implies:

The participation in the commissioning activities linked to laboratory activities (online analysers, sampling, metering, chemicals storage and injection facilities)

The definition of the measurements, sampling and analyses requirements (fluids, frequency, equipment, standards)

The identification and procurement of the equipment and consumables not supplied by the Project

The development of the laboratory procedures (templates, routes, analyses, supplies)
Supporting the technical aspects of the Chemical Services Contract, during the CFT process

Operational Phase:
To be responsible for the safe operation of the laboratory activities and, as a minimum:
The quality of the sampling, measurements, analyses and calculations (on schedule, according to the standards) whatever the fluids (condensate, gas, water, diesel oil)
The reporting and record of the results and, more generally, of the lab activities
The safety, good order, operability and cleanliness of the equipment his team is using (including sampling points, online analysers, storage areas¿)
Responsible for the orders of chemicals and spare parts for laboratory
To assist the Chemicals Services Contractor representative in his duties such as:
Follow-up of the chemicals injection and consumption rates
Management of the chemicals storage (transfers, tote tanks rotation)
Analyses and tests (in the laboratory and field trials)
Provide support to the Production team in:
Ensuring that the HSE principles are implemented on the chemicals and fluids handling
Identifying treatment problems, investigating, troubleshooting and proposing solutions
Optimising the production in terms of chemical quality, chemical consumption, process stability etc. li>
Required skills

Education
HND degree in Chemistry or other discipline which involves laboratory measures and analysis.
Experience
5 years in an oil production laboratory. Good knowledge of codes & standards of Oil & Gas industry.

Experience in FPSO or offshore facilities. Aptitude to offshore work and multicultural environment. Aptitude to mobility (locally and internationally).
